Episode 56: Keranat

Hi, I'm Jade and we're at Path Forward Formulator. I thought it'd be fun to do a ThreeMinut Thursday and show you how easy it is to build new products in 3 minutes or less. Hello everyone. Today on 3Minut Thursday, I wanted to create a beauty-from-within formula to help keep your hair healthy. The hero ingredient of today's formula will be Keranat from our friends at Roquette. Let's jump right into building the formula.

We'll start by choosing our dosage form—capsule, cap-in-cap. Then we’ll set it to one capsule per serving with 45 servings per container. We'll use HPMC for both the inner and outer caps. We'll use the excipient generator for the inner cap and set it to clean label for specialty ingredients. This will generate an excipient profile for you based on the specs from our friends at RIBUS.

Now, we’ll start adding the ingredients. Let’s put 50 mg of sunflower oil in the outer cap. Then we’ll add the Keranat from our friends at Roquette at 300 mg. We’ll also put the oil into the outer capsule. Technically, we could stop here and have an amazing product—but we do love our support blends. Let’s add an ACE blend of vitamins to the formula, including 900 micrograms of vitamin A, 45 mg of vitamin C, and 15 mg of vitamin E—which we’ll also add to the outer cap. Then, vitamin D at 45 micrograms, which we’ll choose in oil form and add to the outer capsule too.

I think our supplement facts panel looks great at this point. We can export that as either a fully editable PDF or an Excel file. Exporting the product spec and scrolling down to the ingredient section provides us with the details of who to contact to obtain more information on Keranat.
