  10. How can I add an ingredient to the PFF dataset?
    Inside the app, you can add new ingredients by entering their name, specifications, certifications, and pricing. These ingredients are stored privately within your company account.

  11. If I add an ingredient, does it become part of the full dataset?
    No. Ingredients added by your organization remain in your local dataset and are not automatically added to the global dataset.

  12. Why might PFF calculate a higher cost than my CMO?
    PFF uses base pricing for ingredients, which may differ slightly from negotiated supplier pricing. Variances typically range between 1–3 percent.

  13. Why does PFF use base pricing?
    Base pricing provides a fast, consistent reference for estimates. You can update pricing in your private dataset to match your agreements.

  14. How do I get my ingredients into PFF's database as a Supplier?

  15. Will PFF support additional dosage forms in the future?
    Yes. PFF plans to expand into additional dosage forms such as beadlets, gummies, bars, and drinks, with updates shared through our monthly newsletter.

  16. What is the difference between the “global” and “local” datasets?
    The global dataset contains shared ingredient information available to all users. Your local dataset is private to your company, where you can add, update, and manage your own ingredient records.

  17. How long does it take for the global dataset to populate?
    The global dataset usually syncs with your local dataset within about one minute after logging in.

  18. Can I add my own suppliers to PFF?
    Yes. You can add preferred suppliers using the supplier portal. These suppliers remain visible only to your organization.

  19. Can anyone else using PFF see my formulas?
    No. Your formulas and data are private to your organization, ensuring full separation from other users.

  20. Do you provide onboarding or tutorials on how to use the platform?
    Yes. We provide onboarding support, short video tutorials, and assistance via text, email, phone, or online meetings for questions about using the platform.

  21. Does PFF integrate with our systems, such as an ERP?
    Yes. PFF can integrate with ERP systems. Because integrations vary, we’ll review requirements and provide a quote. Integrations typically require REST API configuration and thorough validation testing.

  22. What is the Featured Ingredient Program?
    The Featured Ingredient Program highlights one supplier ingredient each month, including clinical research, applications, and formulation insights. This helps brands discover high-quality ingredients faster while giving suppliers visibility within the Path Forward Formulator ecosystem.
