Episode 11: CherryPure
[00:00-00:21]
Hi, I'm Rebecca, and welcome back to our 3minute Thursday series where we demonstrate features of our app while building a formula in 3 minutes or less. Please click the demo button in the post to schedule your demo and learn more about Path Forward Formulator. Today, we are creating a branched-chain amino acid-based powder for energy and muscle recovery.
[00:21-00:55]
I am looking at a supplement fact for a product currently on the market and will enter the values in from the bottom to the top of their supplement facts. After logging in and choosing to formulate a BCAA powder, we'll start with a few basics, such as one scoop per serving, a standard cap, supplement facts, non-vegan, and we'll let the system suggest a cost structure for the flavor and suggest a natural sweetener system. Let's start adding the same or similar ingredients. first, they have a proprietary blend of natural caffeine from green coffee bean extract and a green tea extract at a hundred and sixty milligrams.
[00:55-01:33]
So we're going to put in a hundred milligrams of one and 60 milligrams of the other. We'll go ahead and group them in a proprietary blend called natural energizers as they did. Let's move to adding Cherry Pure at the clinical dose of four hundred and eighty milligrams, a fantastic tart cherry from Anderson Ingredients that you will find already loaded into our data set. Then we're going to add our amino acids, taurine at five hundred milligrams, L-alanine at five hundred milligrams, and beta-alanine also at five hundred milligrams.
[01:33-02:09]
Now, we will add 5 grams of BCAAs, leucine, isoleucine, and valine in a two to one to one ratio. Next, let's add a couple vitamins. B12 as methylcobalamin at 30 micrograms and B6 as pyridoxine HCL at ten milligrams. Lastly, vitamin C as ascorbic acid at 90 milligrams.
[02:10-02:25]
Finally, we'll top it off with some sodium at 85 milligrams. Our cost estimate per bottle is on the right and our draft supplement box looks pretty much like theirs.
[02:26-02:44]
Also they have a citric acid and tartric acid component to their system while our app went for a malic acid. Now we can save the formula so we can use the view function. Here is where we can export the spec sheet and down in the supplier section you will see the contact details for Anderson ingredients for Cherry Pure that we used.
[02:44-03:00]
And that is a BCAA powder for energy and muscle recovery in 3 minutes or less. We look forward to seeing you for our next 3minute Thursday. If you are not already using our app-based system, please visit pathforwardformulator.com to find out more and schedule your demo.
